Keep It Cool with TransferRite Clear Application Tapes

Monday January 3, 2022

As the New Year begins, it’s chilly here at ABI Tape Headquarters in Moorestown, New Jersey. The first flakes of the season have fallen and that has inspired us to get crafty with our favorite crystal clear application tape. The TransferRite 1300 series is a family of clear transfer tapes that are great for all kinds of applications. Our low tack 1301 works well with digital prints and partial vehicle wraps, while our medium tack 1310 is a general purpose workhorse. 1310 is also available with a 1″ preprinted grid pattern to aid with alignment. Today, we chose high tack 1320 for its ability to grab onto tiny shapes and lettering, simplifying difficult transfers. Even something as intricate as a small snowflake can be applied with ease. See the steps below to creating a cute winter craft with TransferRite application tape and reach out to one of our Territory Managers with any questions.

Step 1: Determine which type of application tape is the right fit for your craft. TransferRite 1320 excels at picking up tiny shapes and lettering because of its high tack level.

Step 2: Cut off a piece of TransferRite and apply it over your decal.

Step 3: Squeegee the transfer tape down firmly, starting from the center and working your way out.

Step 4: Flip the decal over and peel the liner back away from the vinyl and tape to release your decal.

Step 5: Apply your decal. Clear application tape makes it easy to get the proper placement.

Step 6: Firmly squeegee the vinyl down to your surface.

Step 7: Carefully peel back the transfer tape to release your decal.

Step 8: As TransferRite 1300 series products allow you to see the decal you’ve already applied, you can achieve the perfect placement of multi-color graphics.

Step 9: Firmly squeegee the vinyl down to your surface.

Step 10: Slowly peel back the application tape to reveal your completed design.

The TransferRite 1300 series is the go-to clear transfer tape for all types of applications. Click here to learn more or here to find a distributor near you.
